Our New Abode..

April happened so quickly I wonder where it went and why the mild weather can’t stay a little longer.....

On April 15, we closed on our NEW HOUSE, which, most of you know has been a THREE year journey. When we moved to Myrtle beach, we figured we would simply build on the lot that we bought before moving down here. We rented a house in Arrowhead and moved forward with those plans. Then, a dark feeling persisted as we began designing our house. We decided to listen to the spirit and not build there. So.. last year we bought another lot in a different area and started house designs last spring. Then, in June we found out that the school the girls loved had been redlined and that they wouldn’t not be able to transfer in if we built on the property. After praying about it, we did not feel good about building. Turns out, within 6 months our builder went bankrupt and the world turned upside down. Again, we were glad we listened.

January came and we found this house on Juxa Dr.. It was being sold by a family who had built it as their dream house, but the father, who managed a building supply company, lost his job. We were going to wait until it went into foreclosure, but when we went back to look at it a second time, we found out that they were only hours away from signing a contract with someone else! WE DECIDED TO FIGHT FOR IT. To make a long story short, we ended up with the house and are just THRILLED to finally be settled. I am so grateful for God’s hand in helping us find a house suitable for our family. Aaron and I have grown tremendously during this process and feel like God was leading us down a specific path. We can certainly testify to God’s “tender mercies”. We have been so blessed.

This first post has just a few pictures of the house. I will post more (especially before and afters!) soon. My main computer isn't set up yet, so the picture size and quality isn't the best.  More pictures and stories will be following shortly!!
